Optimization using URAN supercomputer
Up to date supercomputers are used to solve the most complex scientific problems that require immense computational recourses, and URAN is no exception. Among the tasks the supercomputer has been used for are researching optimal control algorithms for the "Soyuz-2" class rocket carrier, modeling the internal dynamics of Earth, structural analysis of objects in satellite imagery of the Earth surface, creating a mathematical model of the heart, simulating gas-hydrodynamic processes in engines, and many others. The performance of URAN supercomputer is equal to 3 Petaflops.
